## Spawning
1. **Green and Brown Snakes** will spawn in Forests, Plains, and other grassy/forested biomes.
2. **Coral Snakes** spawn in Jungles, Swamps, and Savanna biomes.
3. **Rattlesnakes** spawn in Deserts and other dry biomes.
## Behavior
Snakes, not having legs, can not jump. Due to this, they slither up blocks just like they would in real life! Occasionally, they may stick out their tongue and wiggle it a bit.
This typically is not a threatening stance unless you invade their personal space, in which case you will also hear a hissing noise. Come too much closer and ***BAM!***
Snakes are **crepuscular** creatures, meaning they sleep at varying times. As such, Snakes in-game sleep from 18000 - 23000 and 28000 - 12000, or Midnight - Sunrise and Mid Day - Sunset.
When sleeping, Snakes will be coiled up on the ground, breathing with their eyes shut. Be careful, though! Come too close and they will not hesitate to strike.
Snakes will **hunt** down and eat mobs such as Chickens, Silverfish, Snails, Rabbits, and other small mammals or insects. They will also eat **items** such as **<img src="https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/minecraft_gamepedia/images/5/51/Raw_Chicken_JE3_BE3.png" width="20"> Raw Chicken, <img src="https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/minecraft_gamepedia/images/9/96/Egg_JE2_BE2.png" width="20"> Eggs, <img src="https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/minecraft_gamepedia/images/c/c0/Rabbit%27s_Foot_JE3_BE2.png" width="20"> Rabbit Feet, and <img src="https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/minecraft_gamepedia/images/d/d0/Slimeball_JE2_BE2.png" width="20"> Slimeballs.**
After eating, their bellies will expand and they will move slower. While in this state, they are passive and try to avoid Players. If you hit them, they will drop the item in their stomach and try to get it again.
If the Player picks up the item, however, the Snake will chase the player until they get it back or die trying.
***Snakes will occasionally spawn with bellies that are already full, containing an unknown item.***

### Taming
------------
**Speaking of <img src="https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/minecraft_gamepedia/images/9/96/Egg_JE2_BE2.png" width="20"> Eggs,** Snakes can be tamed by feeding them an Egg, whether that be a Chicken Egg or an Egg from any mod as long as it is tagged as an Egg item!
Like other tamed mobs, you can order Snakes to stay or wander by right-clicking. If you shift + right-click, however, you can put them on your shoulders! If **hostiles get too close, they'll strike!** Think of it like a miniature forcefield.
### Breeding
------------
Snakes can be **bred** by giving them <img src="https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/minecraft_gamepedia/images/9/96/Egg_JE2_BE2.png" width="20"> **Eggs** once more.
Once bred, they will lay Snake Eggs which can be picked up and moved without aggro-ing your reptilian friends. Once hatched, the Snakelet *(yes, that is a baby Snake's real name)* will be loyal to you. |
